She completed her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology at Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges before earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Our Lady of Fatima University. Dr. Aguilar-Joven further specialized in Ophthalmology through a rigorous Residency Training Program at Manila Doctors Hospital and acquired additional training in Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology at the Medical Skin Health Training Foundation, Inc.
