Dr. Tony T.F. Chan is a General Surgery specialist with a focus on keloid treatment. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1994 and began his private practice in 2007 after serving as an Associate Consultant in the Department of Surgery in United Christian Hospital, where he specialised in Head and Neck Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Chan has received advanced training at notable institutions, including the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas and the Plastic Surgery Department at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. His interest in keloids arose from observing their prevalence and high recurrence rates in Hong Kong. In 2013, he introduced intralesional cryosurgery for keloid treatment to Hong Kong, inspired by techniques from Israeli surgeon Yaron Har-Shai.

He has furthered his expertise by learning from leading figures in keloid treatment, such as Professor Rei Ogawa in Japan and Dr. Deng Jun in China. Dr. Chan has established a day surgery centre that provides a comprehensive approach to keloid management, including injections, cryosurgery, and excision with postoperative radiotherapy and also in collaboration with other health care professionals including radiation oncologist and occupational therapist.
